With more High Schools opting for specific themes for Prom Night, searching for a theme prom dress can be challenging. Arabian Nights is likely to be a popular theme for Prom 2009. When thinking of looks for an Arabian Nights prom theme, you’ll really want to focus on dresses with shimmery fabrics that are jewel tone in (golds, ruby reds, sapphire blue, deep purple). Sequins, beading and other adornments on your dress would also work well for an Arabian Nights prom theme.
We’ve found two dresses that would be perfect for an Arabian Nights prom theme – both are dark blue in color.
We selected the first dress from Edressmeprom.com (style # 3093), it comes from the designer Sherri Hill collection and retails for $440.00 It has a fitted strapless corset style top, with a sequin bow accent. With a high front slit that also accents the sequin lining. Complete this look with gold bangle bracelets, strappy jewel embellished shoes and a sleek updo and you’ll look perfect!
Our next dress is from CBSLimited.com and their Xcite collection (style number 3602). It’s a little less expensive than the previous dress, reasonably priced at $290.00. Personally, we prefer the Sherri Hill dress more – but if you’re on a budget, this one works as well. The sweetheart neckline is accented with rhinestones, and the fitted bodice will show off all your curves. A silver strappy heel (with jewel embellishments) is the perfect compliment to this dress.
