Pick colors with the same intensity so that they spark against each other rather than muddying the look. Tangerine and lime, raspberry and lemon, apple and banana, as long as you stay in the same brightness range, these colors won’t clash

Don’t forget that your accessories also add some punch to your look. Make sure that everything you wear on prom night contributes to the overall look you want to achieve. Keep your hairstyle and shoes in proportion to your dress. For instance, updos and mini-dresses don’t usually match.
